Twinstar Guesthouse and Observatory is a unique accommodation featuring an astronomical observatory near Girraween National Park. It is a great base for stargazers, astro-photographers and nature-lovers.
A free guided "Night Sky Tour" is conducted from a private 4.5 metre observatory every night from 8.30pm (weather permitting). The tour introduces guests to star clusters, nebulae, galaxies, planets and the moon under dark rural skies with a large 46 centimetre reflecting telescope. The tour takes only maximum six people, allowing a plenty of viewing time for each person.
The Guesthouse has three en suite guest rooms with its own entrance off the veranda. Each room has an air-conditioning, a queen bed and a free Wi-fi. Continental breakfast is available and placed in room on the day before. Optional home-cooked dinner is delivered to room at 7pm. A 24-hour advance booking is required for breakfast and dinner.
